Responsibilities

The main activities that were to bring success to the project:

A custom-made, responsive website according to their already chosen design

Reusable modules necessary for optimum functionality and further development.

1

The Project

The project included working on hand-written HTML5/CSS3 clean code, applying W3C Standards and an SEO friendly structure, cross-browser (IE9+, Firefox, Chrome, Safari), cross-platform and cross-device compatibility (Major tablet + mobile browsers), pixel-perfect responsive design, table-less markup, optimized CSS, speed optimization, retina support, and well-documented processes.

2

Client info

Event Source is a directory of event venues in and around Toronto, featuring photos, virtual tours, and website links where available. Their mission is to create Toronto’s most favoured, up-to-date and comprehensive special event planning guide.

3

The challenge

This project was challenging because it involved lots of different elements across all pages including Complex Menu, Sticky Navbars, Various sliders, Deals pages, Complex Carousels, Sticky sidebars, Forms and so on.

Also, there are Marketing and Admin panel pages which aren’t visible in the frontend. The goal was to ensure coordination so that everything functions perfectly and looks visually appealing.

4

Client Needs

Event Source wanted a custom-made, responsive website according to their already chosen design. Reusable modules were necessary for optimum functionality and further development.
